Terms of Use

Last updated: April 2026

By installing or using Biluma EMDR (the "App") inside Zoom or any other context, you ("Therapist", "User") agree to these Terms.

1. Purpose and professional use

The App is a tool for licensed mental-health professionals trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). It provides a visual and auditory bilateral stimulus that the therapist composites onto her own video feed during a Zoom session. The App does not provide clinical advice, does not replace professional training, and does not substitute for in-person clinical judgment. Use the App only within the scope of your professional license and ethical obligations.

2. No medical-device claims

The App is not a medical device, is not FDA-approved or CE-marked, and makes no claims about treating, diagnosing, or curing any condition. EMDR is a recognised psychotherapy modality; this App is a stimulus delivery tool to help therapists conduct EMDR remotely.

3. Client consent

You are responsible for obtaining your client's informed consent for remote EMDR therapy and for any session-recording or exposure imagery used in your sessions. The App does not record or transmit session content; consent and confidentiality remain entirely your professional responsibility.

4. Acceptable use

You will not use the App to:

5. Limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is", without warranty. We are not liable for any clinical outcome, technical failure, or third-party service outage that affects your sessions. You assume responsibility for verifying the App functions correctly before using it with a client.

6. Changes

We may update these Terms; the "Last updated" date reflects the current version. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
